COLLEYVILLE, TEXAS – February 3, 2020 – Linda Robertson, executive director of the Association of Dealership Compliance Officers (ADCO), announced that Sandra M. Zannino, SPHR, has joined ADCO’s Advisory Board. She is the founder of Innovative Auto HR, LLC (IAHR), a human resources consulting business for car dealers. Zannino is also a partner at Searchpath Automotive Retail Recruitment, where she created highly specialized searches for niche dealership positions.
Zannino brings over 20 years of leadership and expertise helping corporate executive teams meet the full spectrum of human resources needs and challenges, including regulatory compliance. According to Zannino, “The automotive industry presents unique risks and exposures in the area of human resources. I am dedicated to the development of balanced human resource strategies, policies and programs that support organizational goals and, above all, protect profits.”
Her company, IAHR, provides “Hassle Free HR Solutions” to automotive dealers. She advocates process-driven solution creation in the human resources domain.
Dealerships must address numerous federal and state regulations governing human resource processes and practices across the dealership, including the onboarding/hiring process, workers compensation, wage and hour compliance, Obamacare, benefits administration, Family and Medical Leave Act compliance, Americans with Disabilities compliance, OSHA reporting, HR audits, internal Equal Employment Opportunity investigations and more.
Zannino’s experience in retail automotive dates to 1998, when she began working for an automotive dealer group as an administrative assistant. Over the next two years she gained in-depth knowledge of business office functions before taking on human resources responsibilities. After serving as both office manager and HR manager for 16 years, she took the leap and started IAHR.
Zannino has been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources since 2011. She was a speaker at the annual American Business Women’s Association scholarship fundraiser in 2010 and 2011 and served as Board treasurer for the Sarasota Human Resources Association in 2018 and 2019. Zannino was named the 2019 Human Resources Tampa Consultant of the Year.
ADCO was formed to provide guidance, training, resources, and a best practices forum for dealership compliance officers. The association’s broader mission is to identify and facilitate compliance best practices that mitigate dealers’ exposure and gain the trust of the buying public. ADCO’s advisory board includes experienced dealership compliance officers and leaders in related fields of law, compliance and the automotive industry.
